Tomorrow, Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum opens its showcase of over 50 years of fashion photography from renowned photographer Bruno Benini. The Italian photographer’s partnership with Hazel Benini, a New Zealand born stylist shaped up to be one of the most influential relationships in the history of Australian fashion. Working alongside photographers like Helmut Newton, Benini captured decades of Australia’s fashion evolution.
The Exhibition consists of interviews with Benini’s collaborators and models including Hazel Benini, Jan Stewart and Janice Wakely bringing the photographs to life. The Exhibition is an in depth look at how designers, models, make-up artists, hair stylists, fashion editors, props and locations all contribute to creating a single shot that encapsulates an era.
‘Creating the Look: Benini and fashion photography’ is on at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney 31 July 2010 – February 2011.

The 3 day Festival at Woodfordia (?) is not just a music festival, Splendor in the grass is like a life style choice… some people do vegan, we so Splendor. Along with that, Splendor in the Grass is also a fashion festival, ignore the potential mud, random dreds in your hair, and the sweet sweet smell of body odor, outfits for us, are litterally planned weeks in advance. We thought, we’d let you in on our Splendor in the Grass day 1 Outfit.
Nothing is sexier, than luscious full thick long eyelashes. Eyelashes and eye brows can completely change the way a persons face looks, so along comes Chevron Islands Eyelash Boutique. Eyelash extensions, if done wrong, are horrendous, obvious, and can cause serious damage to your natural lashes and eyes, but with Eyelash Boutique we give you our word, the eyelash technicians are all professionally trained and the boutique is sparkley clean.
The pink and gold boutique is booked days in advance so we recommend booking ahead, but its worth the wait! The result of their eyelashes are long and lush and you’ll no longer require mascara.

If you could raid someones closet, whose would it be? For us, we are HUGE fans of Lily Allen’s everyday style. With her mixture of Vintage, Designer and Topshop, we imagine, her wardrobe would be the size of a small house. Turns out, our imaginations are correct. So, along with sister Sarah Owens, Lily Allen’s has endeavored in to taking a break from the music industry and starting a small boutique. “Lucy In Disguise” is the answer to Lily Allen’s “storage issue”, Sarah Owens tells Elle.com “Lily has so many clothes, and storage was becoming an issue but she didn’t want to get rid of them all. Since lily had accumulated all these beautiful, beautiful clothes, it became like a one stop shop for friends and family whenever we had an event to go to.” We cant wait to see the outcome and are more than willing to fly to London for some West End shopping Lily Allen Style.
